This is actually an existing topic on the dutch forum, but its such a nice topic, that it feels kind of missing here.

I therefor bring that topic here.

The idea is to post small wisdoms. If there's a saying that turned your life around, post it here. You can make one yourself, or quote a famous one.

I'll start with one...

This one, I read on a card that my mother gave me when I was feeling down:

Believe in Life, it also believes in you!

Nice chip!

I collect the famous sayings and decorate my bathroom with them. I like to surround myself with positive things that inspire me and others.

Here's a saying from Albert Einstein:
I believe that Gandhi's views were the most enlightened of all the political men in our time.We should strive to do things in his spirit: not to use violence in fighting for our cause, but by non-participation in anything you believe is evil.

And this is a personal one:
To know our source is to recognize everything.

Here's another famous english expression I like:

"What you give is what you get."

Sometimes, a road can lead you to a dead end. While at first it seems like a waste of time, it later becomes clear that the experience of travelling that road made a difference to your life.
