Dream Walking

I have been able to dream walk since I was a young child. I didnt know how it was done properly till I was a teenager. My uncle is a medicine man, who walks frequently in my dreams when I am in trouble or struggling. I have mastered dream walking. Alot of my dream walking expereinces come from people who are close to me that are in need in their dreams. So while I am sleeping I feel them calling me, then I enter their dream. Sometimes the other person is aware of me being there but most times they dont.

I would have to say yes it is like an out of body experience. I see everything you are dreaming as if I was part of your dream. Not only do I see what your dreaming but I feel the emotions of the person I am dream walking. Which can take alot out of a person if you dont know how to do it properly. Just like I have friends who dont know it but have dream walked into my dreams and have left me feeling so drained the next day. Its very emotionally demanding on a person, so you have to be very strong minded and stable when doing dream walking.
Some may say its invading of privacy but I never use my ability to hurt someone or use what I learn against them. Most times, I am drawn to the person but as an out cry for help. Its truly a very interesting experience but one that shouldnt be taken lightly.

Maybe a stupid question, but are there any risks in dream walking? Can some things go wrong? Or are you able to influence the dream or communicate with the dreamer?

That's a good question Nims. This subject is quite unknown in holland aint it? I find it very interesting, just as i'm interested in the spiritual abilities of native americans.

Yes, it can. You can (if strong enough) influence someones decisions. You speak to them on a sub conscience level. The true purpose of dream walking is to help someone when they call you. Or if you know they are having troubles. You walk in their dreams only to help them deal with what they need to deal with. To feel your presense but not really know its you. You have to understand you feel their feelings. If they are scared you will feel it. It takes a real strong person to realise this. You also could get caught up in the dream thinking its real. Its not easy thing to do nor should it be done lightly or for fun. It is wrong to do it for selfish reasons.
P.S. Please forgive my lateness. I have been really busy.

No problem thanks for the answer. I am also wondering, is dreamwalking something you can learn, or is it something you are born with?

It is something that can be learned. Some have the gift naturally and it just needs to be developed before they realise they have it. I wouldnt doubt that any of you here couldnt learn how to do it considering the other gifts you have. Nims I could spend sometime with you on a one on one basis and try to explain how to do it. Usually it takes being in the same place to do it but I am sure you are a fast learner.

That would be very nice. Don't you think this is something that could be shared on the forum? I am sure that more people want to know how to do this. The next time I see you, i'll talk to you, coz I am very curious in this. .

I dont know if I have told you this before, but like I said this isnt to be taken lightly. Shouldnt be ventured into without knowing all the good along with the bad that could be caused by this. If you remember NiMS that time I spoke of before when I dream walked and it drained me so bad. Not to mention I wasnt ready to experience what I seen in that dream. It can be truly over whelming for the person doing the dream walking. Also please understand teaching in my culture are not to be written but spoken teachings. We dont believe in writting them down, just pass them on by word of mouth. Unfortunately not all North American Indians feel the same and tend to share rituals and ceremonies we have. Explaining it is one thing but putting it in an open forum just wouldnt be right. I can on a one on one basis try to teach anyone who wants to learn.

I understand what you mean and respect your wishes. I am very aware of the things that can go wrong, and I definately remember the time that it went wrong with you, because I am partly the one to blame for that. I still am sorry for that that happened, but I know it was only to teach you a lessen. I hope you see it this way afterwards, but I think you do. We'll talk about this.

NiMS, you know I dont hold anything against you for it. How could I? It was a lesson well learned for me. I have been practising much more since then and have been doing well. Yes we should talk more about this.

Hi Steff, I am curious. What is the point of dream walking? I can think of so many reasons to do that but I was wondering what is yours? I suppose helping people would be one ood reason. You mentioned that most of the time people don't know about you walking to their dreams. Isn't it a bit intruding to their privacy?

It can be intruding if you are doing it for the wrong reason. Please understand I usually do it because the person i am walking in their dream is someone close to me who is "calling me" because they need help. They may be struggling in their dream or having a rough go with something in their life that it is effecting their sleep. So I am called into their dream. I have only once ever entered someone's dream without them 'calling me'. Again I dont recommend that unless you know what you are doing or you as the dream walking can be very draining and unhealthy. As for what the point is, to help someone when they are sturggling. They dont know its you there in their dreams but they can feel a presence. Which inturn can help them feel more at ease in their dreams and work through what they need too. My reason is always to help! I am not selfish and would never use my gift for my own purpose or gain. I also dont take what I learn in a dream walking situation and use it against the person either. Most people I have dream walked into are either close personal friends of mine or family members. There has been 2 cases where it was a complete stranger to me. One time I was called into a dream and I didnt even know the person. They some how were so strong in their signal (if you will call it that) that I was drawn into their dream. My uncle is a medicine man, in my culture. He is my teacher and he walks in my dreams when I am personally struggling. I am aware tho he is there. I feel his presense and I have actually on a few occasions have even seen him in my dreams. I hope this answers your question Asghar.

There's another question that I was thinking about.
If you want to dreamwalk, do you have to meditate or even go to sleep to do it?
And does the person that you want to dreamwalk in, need to be asleep too?

The person you want to dream walk in must be asleep. As for you the person doing the dream walking can be asleep or in a meditated state.

Dream walking is in others seems dark, be careful when you venture around to protect yourself. Make backup souls store them in deep inaccessible places within the mind. Dream walking in your past/future/parallel souls is however highly advised and extremely productive. Also learn skills in your dreams, lucidity, flying, dragon ball z type stuff it will help you.
